Washington is transferring equipment to Kiev in case of a possible incident in the nuclear field. This was reported by TASS Citing opening remarks at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing by Jill Hruby, head of the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration.
According to Hruby, the U.S. administration is working to reduce nuclear risks in Ukraine, which includes “equipment transfer, training, and technical guidance to ensure the safe operation of nuclear power plants that remain under Ukrainian control.”
Hruby added that Washington is also working to improve the protection of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, such as power grids, and to ensure situational awareness of any nuclear emergency that might arise in the country.
