St. Law enforcement forces in St. Petersburg carried out large-scale searches within the scope of the bribery case. This was reported by control RF IC by region.
Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB, with the support of the Russian Guard, conducted more than ten searches at the places of residence of immigrants. At least 60 people, all foreigners, were detained during the incidents.
The Russian Investigative Committee said, “The circumstances of their stay on Russian territory are being clarified.”
Law enforcement officers carried out searches as part of the case against the senior police commissioner. According to investigators, in the period from February 2023 to April 2024, he accepted bribes from a businessman whose activities were related to the sale of railway tickets.
“From the materials of the criminal case it becomes clear that the defendant maintained relations with a number of immigrants, and their residential addresses were also determined,” the publication said.
