The director of the Khrunichev Center spoke about the impact of the sanctions on the production rate of the Angara-A5 rocket.

The current anti-Russian sanctions should not affect the production timing of the Angara-A5 rocket, the director of the GKNPTs. MV Khrunichev Alexey Varochko. He spoke about this in an interview with socialbites.ca.

“Initially, when deciding on the creation of the Angara complex, we proceeded from the fact that all components must be produced on Russian soil. Therefore, the sanctions imposed cannot affect missile production. Taking into account the peculiarities of the industry, it is worth noting that even before the implementation of the sanctions, our Western colleagues did not try to give us the opportunity to borrow some advanced foreign technologies. That’s why everything we’ve developed is entirely the work of Russian experts to provide the country with independent space access,” he said.

Varochko noted that there has been no deviation from the program in rocket production so far. For more information on the production phase of the Angara-A5, see. material “Gazet.Ru”.
