The director of the Khrunichev Center explained the features of the launch of the Angara-A5 from the Vostochny cosmodrome

The processes will be automated as much as possible when launching the Angara-A5 launch vehicle from the Vostochny cosmodrome. This was told to socialbites.ca by the General Director of GKNPTs. MV Khrunichev Alexey Varochko.

“The most advanced technical solutions are used at the launch complex at Vostochny Space Base, many operations will be automated. For example, human involvement in refueling a rocket is excluded. This will both reduce the complexity of preparing the rocket for launch, and ensure the safety of service personnel and combat crews. In the future, it is planned to replace the launch complex for the program with the heavier Angara-A5V launch vehicle and a new generation of manned transport spacecraft. In general, this is a modern launch complex, which is planned to be used for a long time,” he said.

Varochko added that Angara-NZh is in its final assembly workshop and is almost complete. Production of the Angara-A5 is proceeding according to schedule. Learn more about the production phase it’s currently in. material “Gazet.Ru”.
