In Yakutia, the second plane disappeared in one day. It was found on the banks of the Olenyok River.

An An-30 type plane crashed at Olenyok Yakut Airport, which makes a commercial flight from Yakutsk. A source from air traffic control services told Interfax that a technical malfunction could have caused the crash.

“According to preliminary data, the aircraft may crash while making a landing approach and before reaching the level of the airport runway due to a sudden technical failure,” the agency’s source said.

A TASS source also said that a technical malfunction and pilot error were considered versions of a possible crash of the An-30.

According to the statement made by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, An-30 was found 70 km from the village of Olenek in Yakutia, those on board were alive, three people were injured.

“During search and rescue operations, An-30 type aircraft was found. <...> First, the plane made a hard landing. “The people on the ship are alive, three of them needed the help of doctors,” the Ministry of Emergencies told the YSIA agency.

It was reported that the plane was found near the village of Olenyok on the banks of the Olenyok River.

The Ministry of Emergencies of the Sakha Republic said that the An-30M aircraft “did not land at the appointed time.” 30 km from the village of Olenyok disappeared from the radar, the emergency flashlight did not turn on. There are seven crew members on board. There were no passengers among them.

The aircraft, which made its first flight in 1978, belongs to the NPP Mir company. According to local media, he delivered food, the weight of the cargo was 6.3 tons. At the same time, according to the Ministry of Emergencies, the plane turned out to be a Roshydromet sounder, causing artificial precipitation to prevent forest fires in Yakutia.

While taking off from Mirny to search for the An-26 of ALROSA airlines and three rescue planes, the Mi-8 helicopter departed from Udachny. In addition, the administration of the Oleneksky district announced the formation of a detachment of volunteers for searches.

“We are waiting for information on the flight path and coordinates of a cargo plane, then action will be taken to nominate a group of mobile volunteers in that direction,” the management said.

The Yakut Investigation Department of the Eastern Interregional SUT Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia launched a criminal case. Investigators and criminologists determine all the circumstances of the case.

Investigations and procedural actions are underway to determine all the circumstances of the incident. The case was initiated pursuant to clause 3 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Violation of the rules of traffic safety and the operation of air transport, the negligence of which caused the death of two or more people.”

Second lost aircraft

The day before, on June 21, another plane with three people, two pilots and one passenger, disappeared aboard Yakutia – An-2. The plane was supposed to deliver a ton of cargo from Us-Khatyng to Vertikalny, Kobyaisky district, but was lost. His search is still ongoing.

The aircraft is owned by Techservice.

A criminal case related to the incident was also initiated pursuant to Part 3 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The source said that the An-30 plane crashed while landing in Yakutia. The reason, according to preliminary data, is a technical malfunction of the aircraft, which is already 44 years old. The plane was found on the banks of the Olenyok River, 70 km from the village of Olenyok, all people on board survived, but three were injured. This is the second aircraft to disappear in Yakutia in two days – An-2, which disappeared the day before with three people on board.
