Currently, there are six fires in an area of 20,336 hectares in Chukotka, in Yakutia – on an area of 3,231 hectares. In the Irkutsk region, there are 10 fires on an area of 259 hectares, in the Krasnoyarsk Territory there are eight forest fires on an area of 75 hectares. Forest fires were also recorded in Tuva, Primorye and the Khabarovsk Territory.
1,713 experts are fighting the fire, 216 pieces of equipment and 52 air assets are responding. 107 more aircraft are in the monitoring.
It was reported that the great forest fire in Sakhalin in the Okha region was also completely extinguished. An investigation is needed to determine the damage to the forest fund and to identify the perpetrators.
