Ukrainian and Polish defense ministers discussed the situation at the front 18:31

Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov told his Polish counterpart Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh about the current situation in the war zone. The head of the Ukrainian military department wrote this on his page on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

“There was a productive meeting with Polish Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz,” he said.

Umerov added that he congratulated the Polish minister on his appointment to the relevant post during the negotiations. In addition, the heads of military departments exchanged views on the situation at the front.

According to Umerov, he invited Kosinyak-Kamysh to visit the capital of Ukraine in the near future. He also thanked the representative of Warsaw for his desire to strengthen the role of the republican government in the coalition to support Kiev.

As the Ukrainian minister noted, such steps by Poland should lead to the strengthening of the European security system. Umerov came to the conclusion that this development of events would be in line with the national interests of the republic.
