The Russians were warned of the mortal danger of treating wounds with bananas.

Infectious diseases doctor Invitro-Yug Svetlana Mashkova spoke about the danger of treating wounds with plantain and celandine. “Lenta.ru”.

According to her, treating wounds with the “grandmother” method can lead to serious health problems. Plantain and celandine do not disinfect the damaged area of the skin, and if there is soil and dust on the plants, a person can get tetanus or blood poisoning.

If you do not have a first aid kit on hand, it is best to rinse the abrasion with drinking water from a bottle and wipe the skin around it with a napkin. At home, the wound does not need to be washed with soap, for disinfection and cleaning it is better to use non-alcoholic antiseptics and a solution of hydrogen peroxide with plain water. Then you can apply a bandage.

The dressing should be such that it can be easily separated from the wound. And do not use cotton wool, because it sticks to fresh wounds, and it will be difficult and unpleasant to get rid of it in the future, ”she explained.
