A joint study conducted by the SOKOLOV analytical center and the Zarplaty.ru research center, the results of which were reviewed by socialbites.ca, shows that most Russian companies prefer to reward employee success with increasing bonuses (up to 10 thousand rubles).
At the same time, according to the employer, employees will prefer to receive additional paid leave or a business trip to an unusual place as a gift.
88% of Russian companies have a tradition of rewarding employees for success. Most often, managers give gifts to exceed the monthly or quarterly plan or in honor of a birthday (68% each), on public holidays (e.g. New Year (59%)), for length of service, for example. They have been working in companies for 5-10 years (57%) or working for weddings and childbirth (56%).
The most popular type of gift for employees is increased bonuses; 84% of employers choose to provide this. Moreover, the majority of respondents (67%) consider the optimal wage to be only up to 10 thousand rubles. Almost a quarter (23%) of companies are ready to give bonuses to employees from 10 to 20 thousand rubles, and 9% – over 20 thousand rubles.
The top 5 most popular gifts from employers include flowers and sweets (56%), corporate discounts on company goods and services, diaries, backpacks and other products with company logos, and headphones, portable chargers, phones and other devices (19 each) .%)).
The vast majority of companies surveyed support the idea of corporate gifts: this approach encourages better work (51%) and improves the climate and attitudes of employees (48%). Another 60% of respondents believe that the employer must occasionally highlight employees’ achievements to motivate them to invest more in the business.
At the same time, more than half (60%) of respondents admitted that their employees dream of other gifts. The most requested reward was additional leave (60%). The top 5 gifts include a business trip to an interesting location (34%), a phone or headphones (29%), a discount at your favorite store (24%) and jewelry (4%).
