In honor of the third anniversary of the end of the Azerbaijani-Armenian conflict, events were held in the city of Khankendi (formerly Stepanakert), the capital of Nagorno-Karabakh. The events were broadcast by Azerbaijani state television channel AzTV.
During the parade, the troops were inspected, with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Equipment captured during the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh was exhibited in the city’s central square.
On November 8, Azerbaijan celebrates its victory in the 2020 match against Armenia.
On September 19, Azerbaijani authorities announced a local operation in Karabakh. Baku announced the purpose of the operation as “suppression of large-scale provocations”, disarmament and withdrawal of Armenian army units from the territory of the region.
A day later, between the parties, with the mediation of Russian peacekeepers, achieved ceasefire agreement.
September 28 Nagorno-Karabakh President Samvel Shahramanyan signed Decree on the termination of the existence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic by January 1, 2024.
On October 5 this year, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed Declaration on the recognition of Karabakh lands to Azerbaijan.
