In Russia, the “Service” marathon has begun, which will tell about the fate of city leaders who joined the SVO, participated in volunteer activities or became parents of large families. This was reported by the press service of the All-Russian Association of Local Self-Government, which initiated the action.
Organizers state that they want to draw attention to the issue of service with their events.
“Service Marathon is stories about people and their destinies, deeds and deeds who are a bright example of service to their land, their small homeland and the country as a whole. This is a story about true service next to the people and for the good of the people,” said Irina Guseva, co-chair of the All-Russian Association of Local Self-Government.
One of the heroes of the project was Elena Beleva, mother of many children, head of the Afanasyevsky municipal district of the Kirov region, who herself conveyed the summons to her eldest son. She recently visited her son near Lugansk.
Also, the organizers of the marathon talked about Alexei Suvorov, the head of the Mari-Turek city administration of the Republic of Mari El, who was awarded the medal “For Courage”. He was one of the first people to voluntarily join a special military operations zone. He was injured during the conflict. Upon his return, he took office as head of the city administration, but continues to maintain contact with his colleagues.
Another participant in the project is Ilnara Safina, head of the Meshchegarovsky rural settlement in the Salavat region of the Republic of Bashkortostan, who replaced her husband Rustam Safin, who volunteered for the front. Residents of the neighborhood trust the Safin family so much that his wife was elected as president while the husband was in the Northern Military District.
In addition, the marathon will tell about the family of Alexander Ovchinnikov, head of the Gruzensky village council of the Balakhtinsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, where 10 children are brought up, 9 of whom are adopted. The head of the family recalls how he and his wife decided to adopt an adopted child. We passed through the school of foster parents. We began to meet students of one of the orphanages, it turned out that he had a brother and a sister. The custody authority suggested that the children be separated, and the family council suggested that everyone be taken away. After a while, five more children were added to the family.
More than 3 thousand messages were published under the hashtags #MarathonService #ServicetoPeople on only the first day of the marathon, whose main platforms were VKontakte and Telegram. The marathon will last until the end of October.
