Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Artem Dmitruk and Alexander Kunitsky, representing the Servant of the People party, became defendants in a criminal case. Parliamentarians are suspected of beating a man, RBC-Ukraine reported, citing data from the country’s prosecutor general’s office.
According to the information received, the incident occurred in the center of Kiev on October 5. That day, a video surfaced on the Internet showing one of the citizens being beaten by lawmakers.
Another entry was later published. The victim stated that Dmitruk and Kunitsky accused him of fraud and demanded money. The MPs who could not achieve what they wanted got into a fight.
Dmitruk also denied the accusations and told his version of what happened. According to him, lawmakers raided a call center involved in the scam. He also described the beaten man as a puppet.
