A bag containing foreign currency worth 10 million rubles was seized from the possession of a Russian in Domodedovo. This was reported by Federal Customs Service (FTS).
The passenger brought more than 100 thousand dollars and 1.6 thousand dirhams of money, which he did not declare, in a paper bag from Kuwait. The man tried to walk towards Domodedovo along the “green corridor” with the money, but customs officers stopped him.
A criminal case was opened against the man. He now faces up to four years in prison for smuggling.
The Ministry reminded that according to the current legislation, imports in the country’s currency are allowed without making a declaration, up to a value not exceeding 10 thousand dollars.
