The Phlox self-propelled artillery unit entered service with the Russian Armed Forces for the first time. This was reported by RIA News With reference to the press service of Rostec.
It is stated that this self-propelled gun is mounted on the chassis of a protected all-terrain vehicle, allowing it to quickly fire several shots and change position. Rostec stated that Phlox balances manual and automatic operations, which greatly facilitates the crew’s work.
It was reported that the weapon is unified in terms of ammunition used with Vienna-type weapons and “can use high-power ammunition”, and also has an armored cabin and ammunition compartments.
