The effect of “endless chemicals” on children’s hormones has been revealed 19:05

American scientists from the University of Cincinnati and the University of California have discovered that the “eternal chemicals” PFAS can delay the onset of puberty in girls. To work published In the scientific journal Environmental Health Perspectives (EHP).

PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl chemical compounds) are synthetic substances used in many everyday products (tableware, food containers, clothing, cosmetic packaging, and household chemicals) due to their resistance to water and heat. There are currently more than 10 thousand different PFAS. Substances of this class are practically not destroyed under natural conditions, which is why they are called “eternal”. PFAS can accumulate in soil, water bodies, and the human body.

The research presents the results of a study on the health of a total of 823 girls aged 6 to 8. The results showed that 85% of the children in the two groups had measurable levels of PFAS in their bodies and reduced levels of hormones that indicate delayed puberty.

Study author Dr. According to Susan Pinney, delayed puberty in girls can lead to negative long-term health consequences, including increased incidence of breast cancer, kidney disease, and endocrine disease.

“Environmental exposure during adolescence has a greater potential for long-term health effects. PFAS have widened this window of susceptibility, leaving children vulnerable for longer periods of time.”

Previous scientists to create “Infinite chemicals” were found in the analyzes of all children examined.
