Between March and May, about 30 bodies were dumped into the trenches, as an eyewitness from Mariupol told the agency.

“At the beginning of March, I saw a tractor come and dig a hole in the old city cemetery, which is more than 300 years old. That same month, cars came and dropped something in black bags, emptied it, and threw it into the ditch. This is what I’ve seen… I’ve personally seen it three times,” a local resident shared.

Later, the Investigative Committee of Russia announced that the department would document data on the discovery of a mass grave in Mariupol.

Former Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported To President Vladimir Putin on the completion of the operation and the complete liberation of the Mariupol and Azovstal plant from Ukrainian troops.

On February 24, Putin announced that he had decided to organize a military special operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.
