China’s Long March 2D launch vehicle has successfully launched four satellites into Earth orbit. This has been reported area China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC).
The rocket was launched from the Taiyuan Space Base’s launch pad at 10:50 Beijing time (5:50 Moscow time).
According to CASC, three Sixiang Earth remote sensing satellites and Lingxi-03 satellites have been placed into orbit.
The Changerding rocket used in the launch is a liquid-fueled two-stage launch vehicle. It was designed by the Director General of the Eighth CASC Academy and is capable of launching one or more satellites with different orbital requirements. The carrying capacity of the rocket is 1.3 tons.
