Poland to equip ‘tank destroyers’ with British Brimstone missiles

Polish “tank destroyers” Ottokar-Brzoza will be equipped with British Brimstone anti-tank missile systems. The relevant agreement was signed between the Polish Arms Group (PGZ) and the British company MBDA UK. Defense Post.

The contract provides for the organization of the production of these missiles in Poland.

The Brimstone is a throw-and-forget missile that is loaded with guidance data from a weapons systems officer prior to launch. It is designed to destroy ground targets, primarily armored vehicles. It was originally created as an aviation munition.

Ottokar-Brzoza is a four-axle armored personnel carrier designed to destroy armored vehicles under development in Poland. Initially, it was assumed that it will be equipped with Israeli Spike NLOS anti-tank missiles.
