As the press service said, the Investigative Committee opened criminal cases under Part 1 of Art. 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illtreatment of the civilian population, use of prohibited means and methods of warfare” in relation to the head of the command center of the headquarters of the 25th separate air brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Tkachuk and other commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, on May 12-13, Andriy Tkachuk and other Ukrainian commanders of various levels issued a penalty order for the sub-units to bombard various parts of Donetsk, as well as the city of Yasinovataya with artillery shells.
In addition, three children were killed, 11 civilians were injured, 16 houses, school buildings and public authorities were damaged when the Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the villages of Gorlovka and Vladimirovka of the DPR. At that time, on the territory of the LPR, a number of Ukrainian units opened fire on civilian infrastructure facilities in the city of Zolote-5, in the settlements of Voevodovka and Nizhnee Lugansk People’s Republic. Two civilians were injured, many houses were damaged.
The UK added that the actions of the Ukrainian military grossly violated the provisions of the Geneva Convention and other international actions.
