Bernard Bigot, CEO of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor, dies

35 states participate in the creation of an experimental tokamak reactor (tokamak – a toroidal chamber with magnetic coils) ITER: EU countries, as well as Russia, the USA, India, China, South Korea and Japan.

The aim of the project is to prove the scientific and technical feasibility of obtaining thermonuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
