The parquet began to check after the collapse of the rock at the mine “Osinnikovskaya”

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Kemerovo Region has launched an investigation into the rock collapse at the Osinnikovskaya mine in Kuzbass. Interfax reports this with reference to the press service of the department.

“In the Osinnikovskaya mine in the city of Osinniki, when a tunnel machine was working on a preparatory mine, a rock mass collapsed in the installation chamber, a miner may lie under the rubble,” the prosecutor’s office explained.

It is specified that the collapse occurred during the preparation of a mine used by a combine harvester. Currently mining activities have been suspended, the rubble is being cleared and the injured worker is being searched.

The public prosecutor’s office will check the implementation of the legislation on labor protection and occupational safety.

The incident at the mine took place on the morning of March 24. Miners are currently on site. An evacuation is underway. 73 people have already reached the surface, another 315 are rising.
