Estonian Defense Minister Pevkur: EU countries agreed to send 1 million shells to Ukraine 18:22

Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said that EU member states have agreed on the joint purchase of one million 155mm artillery munitions for Ukraine. Wrote about him about it twitter.

“If there is a will, there is a way. It hasn’t been easy, but we have reached a political agreement on 1 million 155mm rounds for Ukraine,” he wrote.

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba accepted Participation in the meeting of foreign and defense ministers of EU countries. During the meeting, he called on the Ukrainian army to increase the speed of supply of ammunition to facilitate its offensive on the battlefield.

As the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs pointed out, Kiev welcomes the initiative of its European colleagues to increase the European Peace Fund by another 2 billion euros to finance the purchase of arms and ammunition, especially for the Ukrainian side. He also added that the republic’s leadership counts on its early enactment.
