Russian scientists have created dental implants that, according to the developers, will take root and fuse with bone tissue better than those on the market. The newspaper reports “News”.
The innovation was created by scientists from ITMO University, together with experts from the thread milling center of the full production cycle and the Lenmiriot plant (part of the Orthos group of companies). Also, St. Petersburg State Medical University ILP Pavlova and LLC “Laser Center” (engaged in the creation of laser processing systems).
It is noted that the main difference between Russian implants is that they are subjected to laser rather than abrasive treatment. In this way, the surface does not deteriorate and there is no need to use toxic chemicals. Scientists believe that the development will replace imported analogues, which could disappear from Russian dentistry due to sanctions and logistical problems.
