The State Border Committee of Belarus accused Ukraine of creating a dangerous situation at the border, “BelTA“.
The ministry states that armed men without identification marks and who cannot be identified as border guards regularly approach the border from Ukraine. As they approach the border, they point their guns at the Belarusian border guards, creating a dangerous situation.
In this regard, the State Border Committee of Belarus decided to strengthen the orders and create stronger reserves to respond to emergencies.
Former Head of the Operational and Analytical Department of the Belarusian State Border Committee Dmitry Lyubkin spoke About the construction of a fence on the border with the republic by Ukraine.
He points out that Kiev is building fixed, concrete fences on the Belarus-Ukraine part of the border, “in a way copying its Polish and Lithuanian counterparts.” Currently, the length of the fence is “extremely small,” according to Lyubkin.
