Die Welt readers criticized German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock after she declared “war against Russia”. Users commented in their comments to the article on the publication’s website, writes DEA News.
On January 24, Burbock said that European countries were “waging war against Russia”. It also urged them to do more for Ukraine and not look for the culprit among themselves.
Commenting on Burbock’s statement, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that it was an admission that the West was planning a war against Russia in advance. Later, German Foreign Minister Christian Wagner announced that Burbock’s statement was made to emphasize the unity of EU, NATO and G7 countries against “Russian aggression”.
“In any case, this is absolutely unacceptable. If he has at least minimal responsibility for our country and Europe, he should resign,” wrote user Ansgar B.
“In diplomacy, one must be able to control the insults in one’s mouth. But this rule doesn’t work for this lady. First he talks, then he thinks,” replied Holger D.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that he had decided to conduct a special military operation in Ukraine in response to a request for assistance from the heads of the LPR and DPR.
