Arturo Collados is the manager of Grupo Silvoturismo, a national environmental benchmarking firm based in Elda.. It has a section dedicated to the Natural Environment and a section focusing more on Consulting, Marketing and Environmental Education. It is not for nothing that Collados is a pioneer in the environmental education sector, that his company already has more than twenty years of experience. in this interview Explain how environmental protection develops with society.
The environment is on everyone’s lips, but I guess it wasn’t like that 20 years ago.
Clear. Everything started with my father’s love and respect for nature.. The mountain enthusiast began to put up posts and signs so that the hikers would not get lost, and also contributed to the protection of the mountains. Over the years, this hobby has become a trade as there is so much to do. And so their activities began forestrythat I continue and evolve with more services that society itself demands.
Because there is only one world.
Of course, we are late in realizing this, but I think No one questions anymore that we need to protect and preserve the natural environment. and to protect the environment. There has been a change of mind, especially in recent years and this is very positive because now we are all on the same path. The environment is no longer just the protection of nature and natural areas, it has now flooded everything and spread to cities. We must be sustainable and minimize our carbon footprint. Everything is a set and every action counts.
However, despite the increasing awareness of the public, I guess there is still a long way to go.
Yes and This is when environmental education becomes particularly important. Everything in life goes through education and the same thing happens when it comes to the environment. We must educate the population, teach them that the responsibility for all environmental damage caused by human actions is not solely the responsibility of management or industrial activities.. As individuals, we are also responsible because our actions have direct consequences. environment.
Do you think environmental education campaigns have an impact or should we be more compelling?
I strongly believe in the power of education. In fact, we have run hundreds of campaigns for all audiences and they are working. We have a team of twenty environmental educators and where we operate, this change is visible and reflected in the figures. People reuse and recycle more, pollute less and are generally very understanding, asking questions, participating and collaboratingbecause we all agree that we need to move to the circular economy model because resources are limited. It is true that there is still a lot of ignorance, but we are slowly making progress.slower than we’d like, but we’re definitely on the right track.
