BAMF: In Germany, the number of asylum applications from other countries increased by almost 30% during the year 22:47

In 2022, 244,132 asylum applications were registered in Germany from countries other than Ukraine. This was reported by the TV channel. BACK With reference to data from the Department for Migration and Refugees (BAMF).

It was stated that the number of asylum applications increased by 27.9 percent compared to 2021, when 190 thousand 816 people were made.

According to the TV channel, most of the requests to BAMF came from citizens of Syria (70,976 people) and Afghanistan (36,358 people). Overall, the agency reviewed 228,673 applications that were approved in 56% of cases.

The ARD also explains that in 2022, Germany accepted more than 1,044 million Ukrainian citizens.

Before that, Polish President Andrzej Duda spoke that in the near future the number of Ukrainian refugees in Poland and Germany will increase.
