This is how furniture is made with plastic collected by fishermen in Alicante, Valencia or Palma

Recycling plastic waste at sea has become a real business. Using a raw material that turns out to be completely free, and with the cooperation of fishermen who bring it with tons of boats, items such as home and office furniture can be produced. This is what it does, for example, Gravitational Waveremoves plastic from the seafloor and transforms it into furniture and design products with a long service life and high sustainable value with its circular economy process.

The figures announced at the end of the year support the success of this business model, which has grown exponentially for another year. Here’s how Gravitational Wave closes 2022: With more than 163,000 kg of fishing nets extracted from around 100 ports and seas and ports in the Mediterranean.

Of all its ports, 60 are Spanish, some of the most important being Spanish ports. Santa Pola (the largest in the Spanish Mediterranean), Valencia, Palma, Santander and Almería.
