The average amount of payment for equipment insurance in 2022 amounted to about 18 thousand rubles. – this is the conclusion of VSK Insurance House analysts. In total, for 109 months of 2022, the company paid the Russians more than 258 million rubles for these risks. At the same time, the largest number of requests for malfunctions of gadgets was received by the company during the New Year holidays.

“socialbites.ca” got acquainted with the results of the study.

The highest number of applications for equipment insurance came from smartphone owners in 2022 (46%). Headphones are second (19%) and TVs are third (17%) in the anti-rating of frequently broken devices. Tablets (14%) and coffee machines (3%) complete the top 5.

The most expensive gadgets to maintain are smartphones – the average compensation in the event of an insured event is about 24 thousand rubles. In second place are televisions – 17 thousand rubles. Headphone repair is estimated at an average of 10 thousand rubles, according to VSK. The average payout in the tablet category is 6,000 RUB.

Most often, in 2022, Russians broke devices in January (30% of requests), February (17%) and July (11%).
