An independent developer behind Gloomwood and DUSK has released a gameplay trailer for a new title named Butcher’s Creek, a first‑person horror that blends the brisk tension of classic Manhunt‑style thrillers with the stark mood of a Condemned‑like investigation.

In the trailer, a release date is announced. A Steam page exists where a playable demo can be downloaded.

Butcher’s Creek is described as a first‑person horror game that follows a character who is captured by maniacs. To win his freedom, the protagonist must embrace brutality and eliminate anyone who blocks his path.

“What starts as an illegal urban exploration turns into a fight for survival after his capture by a gang of sadistic killers. The protagonist then arms himself with a box cutter, a hammer, a pickaxe or other handy tool to tilt the field of violence in his favor,” the description notes.

The game offers a wide array of weapons including hammers, axes, pipes, utility knives and more, all contributing to a harsh and immersive brutality.
