A few days before the announcement of the Redmi A1, the cheapest smartphone of the Xiaomi sub-brand, photos of the device were published on the Internet. Xiaomiui Portal shared renders and “live” photos of a budget gadget.
It is noted that two models, Redmi A1 and A1+, will be presented, the only difference from the younger model will be the presence of a fingerprint scanner.
Redmi A1 smartphones will have 6.52-inch TFT displays with HD+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. Despite the low price tag, which will be less than $ 100 (less than 6 thousand rubles), the A1 line will offer two cameras at the back of 8 and 2 megapixels, as well as a 5 megapixel front camera.
Both models will be powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 chip and come with a 5,000mAh battery and a modest 10W charger in the box. A leaked photo of the smartphone from the store also confirmed the presence of 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory in the Redmi A1.
As a shell on smartphones, a stripped down proprietary firmware MIUI Lite or “pure” Android, designed specifically for budget devices, will be used.
The launch of new ultra-budget products Redmi A1 will take place on September 6 in India. There is no information about the arrival of devices in Russia and their cost.
