Gamescom 2022 during Sony’s annual international trade show for computer games announced A “professional” DualSense Edge gamepad that can swap sticks and load additional items.
On the DualSense Edge wireless controller, users can remap or disable individual buttons, as well as change bars and adjust their sensitivity. Players will also have access to additional trigger settings for the PlayStation DualSense Edge.
It is stated that the new gamepad supports several control profiles that can be changed in a few seconds. In addition, Sony engineers placed an Fn button on the gamepad, where users can quickly change DualSense Edge settings without taking their attention from the game.
DualSense Edge will offer gamers different shapes of interchangeable covers for the sticks and additional buttons on the back.
DualSense Edge’s release date and price have not yet been announced. Details on the new peripheral will emerge “in the coming months,” as Sony noted.
