American teens have admitted to being addicted to watching YouTube videos. This was stated in a survey conducted Pew Research Center.
According to respondents, 95% of teenagers in the US watch YouTube. 19% said they watch videos on video hosting “almost constantly” and another 41% – “several times a day”.
Pew also asked how hard it would be for teenagers in the US to quit social media. Most (55%) thought they were spending the right amount of time.
However, about a third (36%) of teens admit that they are addicted and spend too much time on videos and posts. When asked to quit social media, 54% of teens said it would be extremely difficult for them.
