Apple plans to increase the number of ads on pre-installed iPhone apps and other brand devices. This is stated in the reporter’s report. Bloomberg Mark Gurman.
According to Gurman, Apple has already run tests of internal ads in its Maps service – it is assumed that the user will be given recommendations when searching for nearby restaurants or stores. According to the reporter, business owners will pay Cupertino companies to rank higher in search results, which will generate additional revenue for the brand.
Gürman also believes that ads may appear in the Podcasts and Books apps soon. Currently, there are no ads in these two programs and on Maps.
It is stated that a similar advertising model is already in use in the App Store – the developer can pay to have his app or game displayed among the first to be shown to the user. Gurman believes that in the future such a system will be able to capture all pre-installed services on the iPhone.
