Owners of Epson’s popular inkjet printers have complained that some of the manufacturer’s devices are programmed to stop working after a certain period of time. This has been reported Gizmodo.

One of the users noted that his “very expensive Epson printer” for no reason gave a message about the end of its service life and stopped working. According to him, the manufacturer has implemented a feature that causes the printer to show that it stops working after a fixed number of printed pages and not due to actual wear.

According to Gizmodo, the issue affects printer models such as the Epson L130, L220, L310, L360 and L365. Journalists did not rule out that the problem is related to other device versions.

The first reports of such “failures” appeared about five years ago. Some users have posted videos where they change the item themselves to reset the printer blocking further operation.

It was previously reported to be on the Windows 10 operating system error foundCauses an error in the operation of printers connected via USB.
