Despite using last year’s Apple A15 Bionic chip, the iPhone 14 will outperform its predecessor. About informs Portal xda developers.

According to numerous leaks, the iPhone 14 and 14 Max will be powered by the 2021 Apple A15 Bionic chip used in the iPhone 13 series.

It has not been reported whether the “new” Apple A15 Bionic will be overclocked from last year, as, for example, with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and 870.

Numerous insiders have repeatedly stated that the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max smartphones will be powered by the new Apple A16 Bionic chipsets and offer a new camera system, including an updated 48MP main sensor capable of capturing 8K resolution video. Thus, Apple plans to separate the licensed iPhone 14 from the flagship iPhone 14 Pro.
