Samsung starts selling spare parts for self-repair of Galaxy series smartphones

Samsung partners with iFixit to launch self-service gadget repair program informs Portal xda developers. In the fall of 2021, Apple launched a similar service.

Now Samsung Galaxy S20, S21 smartphones and Galaxy Tab S7+ tablet owners can purchase spare parts and tools for the next repair of their device. It is stated that parts and tools will be offered for sale at the price requested by Samsung’s authorized service centers. At the same time, instructions for repairing the above-mentioned devices will be provided free of charge.

The manuals will contain step-by-step instructions and detailed illustrations so that users can make repairs themselves. Device owners can also contact iFixit for assistance.

In the future, Samsung plans to expand the range of devices and parts included in the self-repair program. Galaxy S20, S21 and Tab S7+ owners already have screens, glass backs and charging ports.
