The seventh-generation iPad mini tablet, introduced in mid-October, received a stripped-down Apple A17 Pro chip, weaker than the version used in the iPhone 15 Pro. The portal reports this WCCFTech.

According to the source, the chipset used by the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max has a six-core graphics processor in the Apple 17 Pro, while the new iPad mini has a five-core graphics processor. The number of CPU cores remains the same.

It is assumed that Apple may also cut processor frequencies. But this hypothesis will be confirmed only after the start of sales and independent tests. Experts will then be able to check how much the iPad mini lags behind last year’s iPhone 15 Pro in graphics tests, for example, in heavy games.

The 2024 iPad mini is equipped with an 8.3-inch IPS screen with a frequency of 60 Hz, a Touch ID fingerprint scanner and a front and rear camera with 12 megapixel resolution each.

The seventh generation iPad mini is already available for pre-order and will be available on October 23 at prices starting from $ 499 (about 48.4 thousand rubles) for the version with 128 GB of memory.

Previously reportedIt was stated that there are 200 infected Android applications in the Google Play store.
