Almost half of Russian companies face cyberattacks at least once a year. More than a third of enterprises are tested by hackers every month for the strength of their security systems. The most common types of attacks are phishing and DDoS. socialbites.ca learned about this from a study made available to editors by the Garda group of companies.
The study, which included 300 representatives of the Russian business community, showed that 42 percent of companies face cyberattacks about once a year, and 37 percent more often. However, about a third of respondents (29%) are not ready to automate the threat response process, and only 6% have organized processes without the involvement of information security specialists.
Phishing is the most common threat (almost 80%), followed by DDoS attacks (50%) and social engineering attacks (45%). It is important to note that none of the respondents mentioned cloud vulnerabilities as a threat.
At the same time, nearly a third of respondents do not want to use automated threat response tools, while more than half of respondents (65%) are ready to implement or have already set up partially automated response processes.
