FAS asked to sue Twitch for suspension of payments to Russian broadcasters

The regional public organization “Internet Technologies Center” (ROCIT) has asked the FAS to file a lawsuit against the Twitch platform for paying broadcasters with Russian debit cards. This has been reported TASS.

“We ask the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service to consider this application and to sue Twitch Interactive, Inc. for infringement. recognizes antitrust laws and Twitch Interactive, Inc. violation h.1 Art. Article 10 of the Law on the Protection of Competition”.

It is noted that the signs of violations of the anti-monopoly law are the suspension of payments to pennants in banks of the Russian Federation and the blocking of individual users.

ROCIT added that it artificially limits Twitch’s ability to switch to other platforms and sets a rule for stream exclusivity for certain categories of streamers.
