The box with the new iPhone 16 will not contain branded stickers with the Apple logo. The portal reports this 9 to 5Mac referring to an internal message distributed to retail store employees.

Despite the lack of stickers, customers will still be able to request stickers when purchasing an iPhone 16 in person from an Apple Store, but third-party retailers will not be able to offer stickers separately. You will also not be able to request or receive stickers when ordering an iPhone 16 for home delivery.

These changes are part of Apple’s environmental strategy, which aims to reach carbon neutrality by 2030. This year, the company emphasized that the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro packaging will be made entirely from fiber, bringing Apple closer to its goal of removing plastic from boxes as early as next year.

Also in February, the Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset was the first to lose the stickers. Then in May, the iPad Pro and iPad Air were introduced, which lost the included stickers. It’s not known if Apple will remove the stickers from other devices, including older iPhones that are still on sale.

Previously became known Meizu smartphones that will appear in Russia.
