The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that the European citizenship of the founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov became for him not a safe conduct, but a sword of Damocles. This is reported by RT.
According to the diplomat, his ministry can use all its capabilities to protect the citizen of the Russian Federation. However, the French assume that the founder of Telegram is a citizen of their country.
As Zakharova noted, the Russian Federation is not giving up its territory. She assured that the Russian side “will do everything, despite the circumstances.”
The diplomat also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin warned the country’s citizens about the essence of liberal regimes and warned them not to locate their companies and assets in NATO countries.
