Samsung will start equipping its smartphones with more RAM. Portal reports this Sammobile Citing authoritative insider Ice Universe.

An insider wrote briefly on his page on the social network X (formerly Twitter): “16 GB, yes!” He did not specify which device he was talking about, but Sammobile journalists suggested that he was talking about the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Rumor has it that Samsung’s flagship smartphones in 2025 will receive new, faster LPDDR6 memory – current devices from the brand and other manufacturers use LPDDR5X memory. Also, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra won’t be the South Korean company’s first smartphone with this amount of RAM.

Samsung installed 16 GB of RAM in its Galaxy S20 and S21 Ultra smartphones in 2020 and 2021. But later, even in the most advanced models, the amount of RAM was reduced to 12 GB. It seems that the company is returning to its previous memory volumes.

The introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series smartphones is expected to be at the end of 2024 – the beginning of 2025.
