The Chinese company Xiaomi followed the example of its competitors and stopped equipping smartphones with complete charging blocks. In this respect reports Telephone Arena portal.
It is stated that this assumption emerged after the launch of the Redmi 13 in Europe, which does not include a charger. At the same time, Xiaomi itself has not officially announced such intentions and has not yet commented on changes in the configuration of devices.
It is speculated that future Xiaomi models, especially those launched in Europe, may come without charging bricks. This approach has long been used by other major smartphone manufacturers such as Apple and Samsung. Supporters of this trend argue that this solution helps reduce electronic waste, since many users already have chargers.
Additionally, removing the charger from the package can potentially reduce the cost of the devices. But experts warn that such a move could create inconvenience for consumers, especially those who recently purchased a smartphone and do not have a compatible charger. In this case, purchasing a new charger may become an additional expense.
