The company Ruselectronics, part of the Rostec holding, has developed a unique MP21 single-board computer based on the Elbrus-2S3 processor. The dimensions of the new device are only 95 x 95 mm, making it the smallest computer based on this chip. In this respect reports publication “Kommersant” (“Kommersant”).

The MP21 module has a package-free design and weighs approximately 100 grams without the heat distribution plate. Power consumption is less than 40 W and the operating temperature range is -40 to +55 degrees Celsius. Work on the creation of a new technology was carried out by experts from the eponymous Institute of Electronic Control Machines. Brook (“INEUM”) is also part of Ruselectronics.

MP21 is based on a dual-core Elbrus-2S3 processor with a clock frequency of at least 1.6 GHz, equipped with an integrated graphics core. This allows the computer to be used in information display systems. The device is also equipped with up to 8 GB of RAM and a solid-state drive of 60 to 480 GB.

As Rostec emphasizes, MP21 is a purely Russian development that can replace foreign analogues. Considering the high requirements for information security, the computer can be used successfully in various facilities. The application is expected to be found on onboard computers.

Previously Samsung launched “Sneakers of the future” that control a smartphone.
