Since RuStore’s launch, users have downloaded more than 140 million applications and games. According to the press release obtained by socialbites.ca, this figure is three times higher than last year.
Sberbank Online has become the most popular application in RuStore, and the most downloaded game among games is Tanks Blitz. The leading positions in the store were taken by financial applications, the number of downloads of which accounted for 36% of the total. These are followed by useful tools with 13% and games with 10%. The most popular applications also include 2GIS, OZON, MegaFon and VKontakte.
In the gaming segment, projects in the genres of action (12%), simulation (11%) and casual games (10%) are popular. There is also an increase in user interest in games featuring augmented reality (AR), with the number of downloads doubling last year. The most popular in this category are CosmoBlastAR, “Dinosaurs in Zharki” and AR Sketcher.
RuStore is a Russian mobile application store for devices running the Android operating system, developed by VK together with domestic IT companies with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development.
