The cost of all 40 models of Nvidia GeForce RTX 40 series and AMD Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards in the German market has fallen below the recommended retail prices (RRP). In this respect reports 3DCenter portal.
Despite the higher cost when directly converted from euros to dollars, the German market offers video cards at prices significantly lower than the RRP, according to data from the Geizhals aggregator and a comparison with prices from the American retailer Newegg.
This may indicate that manufacturers and retailers are trying to clear out existing stock before the announcement of next-generation graphics cards such as the GeForce RTX 50 series, Intel Battlemage, and Radeon 8000.
In Germany, the cost of the Radeon RX 7000 and GeForce RTX 40 series dropped by an average of 10% and 12% respectively. At the same time, entry-level models showed the biggest decrease in prices. Even the flagship model GeForce RTX 4090 is offered in the European country for € 40-50 cheaper than the recommended retail price, and the Radeon RX 7900 XT is 26.4% cheaper. At the same time, in many other countries the cost of video accelerators is often higher than the RRP.
