A fight broke out in an eSports match within the scope of Counter-Stike 2 major and the winner’s cup was broken. In this respect reports DTF portal.

A group of activists appeared on stage during the second map of the competition between teams MOUZ and G2, leading to clashes with security and subsequent evacuation of players. The events escalated further when, while pushing the protesters away from the stage, one of the activists accidentally knocked over a cup, which fell and broke. As a result of the incident, no one was injured.

The conflict arose due to activists’ disapproval of the team’s sponsor, G2, an online casino where there were cases. Before the start of the match, activists distributed leaflets at the entrance to the field demanding the dismissal of the team general manager.

It later turned out that the sponsor’s competitors were behind the action, which was confirmed by the contestants themselves, but the corresponding post on social networks was quickly deleted. Before the incident, the casino owner had made threats to the G2 team on live broadcast.

After all the activists were detained by the police, the players returned to the match. As a result, G2 won and secured their place in the next round of the play-offs, where they will face the Natus Vincere team.
