The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, launched last year, was equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, but its successor, the Galaxy Z Flip6, may already get Samsung’s proprietary Exynos. In this respect reports The GSMArena publication refers to an insider who appears on social networks under the pseudonym Revegnus.

Revegnus considers this scenario quite likely. According to him, if this happens, Samsung will most likely use the Exynos 2400 chip.

Exynos 2400 is Samsung’s current flagship processor with 10 cores. The main Cortex-X4 core runs at 3.20 GHz. The chip also includes two Cortex-A720 cores with a frequency of 2.9 GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores with a frequency of 2.6 GHz and four Cortex-A520 cores with a frequency of 2.0 GHz. Additionally, Exynos 2400 is the first Samsung processor manufactured using the new 4LPP process technology and unique FOWLP packaging technology.

GSMArena also does not rule out that the Galaxy Z Fold6 may lose its Snapdragon chips. In this case, the new product will switch to Exynos 2400.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and Galaxy Z Fold6 are expected to be released in late summer 2024.
