Similar to YouTube, a mechanism for user tagging of AI content needs to be introduced in Russian online services. About this on your Telegram channel stated Anton Gorelkin, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Information Technologies and Communications.

“When publishing a video, the author must indicate that productive technologies were involved in the creation of the video. In my opinion, this is correct and fair to your audience,” said Gorelkin, commenting on the latest innovation on YouTube.

According to him, additional verification of materials can be carried out on the basis of a single platform to identify unreliable content. We are talking about a new development that the Ministry of Digital Development had previously announced. It was not announced when it would be established, but the ministry received an offer to conduct research in this field. Gorelkin emphasized that after the creation of the platform, all Russian online services working with user content must be connected to the platform.

According to the lawmaker, such systems are needed to prevent attackers from using fake images and videos to manipulate Russian public opinion. Gorelkin stated that such provocations were expected during the election campaign in the Russian Federation, but did not occur.

“Yes, there were separate sections where personal video invitations were created for the campaign, but we did not observe any cases of such technologies being used to mislead or create fake news. “But it’s only a matter of time: Given that AI tools are becoming more accessible every day, I have no doubt that we may encounter their malicious use in the next election,” he wrote.

Previously Nvidia presented Basic AI model for humanoid robots GR00T.
